Only thing with this story is reading Damnation of Pythos helps understand some of it. Awesome art though. Grey Knights need more love from Black Library.

well if you're a Chaos, Black Templar, Tyranid, Oldcron fan/player then yes everyone else the fluff is great
Cato is now a bro who bitch slaps Inquisitors for fucking with the Ultramarines, and kills C'tan
Calgar picks up a Necron pylon and fire it at Tomb Complexs
Dante getting too old for this bullshit
Grey Knights all cry when Geronitan died (yes you heard that right) all the long Mortarion just laughs his ass off
Darlek Grey Knights
Dragio trolls the Dark Angels
Eldar getting shit down
Khan being a super smart dude (and stoic) with a Prussian accent
Legion of the Damned might really be time travelers (or Daemons of the Emperor)
the Legion burning Nurgle's garden
A Necron overlord chasing a Chapter Master around his throne room before throwing his dishonorable ass out an air lock
Farsight is an hotblood anime hero with a vampire sword

The Ultrasmurfs are now just friggen' conceited crybabies with a hard-on for their primarch. Fucking Ward is an Ultramarine fanboy who dicked over all the other chapters. They used to be cool badasses that took their beatings, and learned from them. Not anymore.
Quote: "...recent editions the blatant favouritism displayed by certain Games Workshop writers towards the Chapter have earned them considerable ire, especially from fans of other Space Marine chapters that get slagged off in the process. This is mainly the fault of Matthew Ward , responsible for the latest Ultramarines codex, which is full of ridiculous fanboyism and claims that every chapter strives to be like the Ultramarines and that the ones who don't are clearly aberrants who are dying out (this certainly comes as news to chapters like the Black Templars , Raven Guard , Iron Hands , and Space Wolves , who were doing perfectly fine the last time they checked)."

Using 1d4chan?
ok now I know you're full of shit.
First of all Ultramarines were ALWAYS the face of Space Marines and Ward only brought back there older lore img.4plebs.org/boards/tg/image…
second we know Ward is in fact a Necron fanboy as shown by the fact most of his old WD battle reports are him playing Necrons,
Third ultramarines WERE NEVER COOL it wasn't until his codex that people started to like them thanks to bring back there Roman Theme
FOURTH that's dead wrong, Raven Guard follow the Codex so do the Iron Hands they merely change there things up. Also while Black Templars and Space Wolves do outnumber the Ultrmarines, they can just call their 2nd founding all 24 of them which btw 25,000 marines are more than BT's 7,000 and Space Yiffs 3,000
5th GW oks anything a codex writer does
6th It was going to be Codex Ultramarines until a last second change
7th they're the Chapter of Bruce Lee (no really the "be like water" and "I don't fear the man who knows 10,000 kicks, I fear the man who practice one kick 10,000 times")
Stop being butthurt and get over it, no one is going to change them, Phil Kelly has them lost ONE battle and the Imperuim AS A WHOLE has a panic attack

I'm not denying that, but you misunderstand me so I'll say it again, yes, the Ultramarines USED to be cool, fuck they were MY starting army, but then M.W came along and screwed with their fluff so badly that I switched to IG who are the REAL badasses of the imperium.

No.
Ultramarines were NEVER cool, trust me I've been playing for 15 years, I've seen saw a GW redshirt make fun of them.
They've only gotten cool Post-5th.
And he didn't "screwed" there lore just made it more clear. Like how he "screwed" the Grey Knights despite Codex Deamonhunters HAS THEN MURDER PRIEST AND USE THERE BLOOD AS HOLY OIL
Meh IG are cool

Up that noise, The Ultra's were damn cool 1-3rd edition, they were the every-man marine in a way, EVERYONE I met at 40k Tour's agreed that they were only cool in the first three and kinda fourth editions.
Ah, the Khornate Bloodknights. That shit was fucked up even by 40k standards, whyy Ward has a hard on for screwing over the SoB's so badly I'll never know, he's like a Dark-Eldar in that way.

You're the one who's bitching about "fluff rape" despite clearly never read the fluff outside of 1d4chan (which btw makes shit up) you're not having acivil argument
Otherwise you would know Grey Knights FIRST mention is about how they kill anyone who sees them and how they kidnapped priest cut them open and wash bolter shells in there blood.
I beat you still think they're overpowered.
Go read Sentinels of Terra or Iyanden which btw is written by Ward to see his current writing (Iyanden being so good people want Ward to write BL Eldar books btw).

I must say that I quite like the space wolves. I mean they only tried to make a new chapter once... that did not work out so well, so they stay pure oh yeah! Plus, Vikings in space he he he, got to love that. I think Space wolves are those that are most laid back and the most fun, companionship and a good sense of taste for food and beverage. I mean come on, mead, ale, meat! Yay!

Also they liked the ideal of make more Sons of Russ it failed because of outside reasons

omega3456 In reply to d715 [2014-03-16 01:00:52 +0000 UTC]
Space yiffs? What do you mean?
Pardon, but I did not understand your sentence at all, no full stop or commas. Do you mean; they liked the ideal to make a lot of separate chapters, but it failed because of external reasons? Well, I do not really agree with you if I understand you correctly. It says in the codec: Space Wolves that;
"The Space Wolves were divided only once, creating the ill-fated Wolfbrothers Chapter. Perhaps the High Lords recognised the problems of genetic instability that would plague the legacy pf Leman Russ, giving rise in later times to the terrible curse of the Wulfen. Perhaps Leman Russ had no intention of breaking apart his mighty Legion so that they could be divided and conquered if necessary. What is known however is that the Space Wolves had and still have little regard for the dictates and military tradition of the Codex Astartes, instead holding sacred the teachings of Russ that are handed down from Wolf Priest to Blood Claw whelp even to this day." (Space Wolves Codex pp. 9)
So I do not agree with what you say. From what I understand and some other background reading, the Space Wolves (or at least Leman Russ) agreed to try dividing his/the Legion and to create a new Chapter as mentioned above. But they never tried to keep creating new Chapter's. And why make more "Sons of Russ" Chapters when you can just have a large Space Wolves army and kick ass in Russ and The Emperor's name?

Its in Battle for the Fang I believe.
More or Less, Russ wanted the Space Wolves to branch out and form a defensive boarder around the Eye of Terror. So they would be about 12 or so Space Wolves chapters, all at there current size ect.
it failed
