An update from this here: ultraloco.deviantart.com/art/R… after making Pierre in Rejected Thomas Characters 2, I thought about maybe adding a sister unit, likely as not being realistic in terms of how many prototypes there are normally made in engines, anyhow I imagined that Alec Forrester (Creator or the Snowpiercer locomotive in the comics) would end up designing three engines, Rolf with special vibranium mythril motor that can be accelerated and decelerated by hot and cold air, meant as a commercial passenger locomotive, however he would become too expensive to sell as his parts were rare.

Rolf would be the most successful of the siblings, despite not being sold 'till '13 in the shed he dwelled in for years in his factory shed... Read the rest of his story in the link.

Pierre was made to be a cheaper version with more common metals and could be sold en masse, yet Pierre would unfortunately required to be "Rewound" like a wind-up toy as his engine's internal parts would also need maintenance from wear and tear. He did maintain some work on the Southern Pacific as he was seen as the "Locomotive of the Future" painted like a GS-4, he was sent to work pulling demonstration trains during the early 80's to help save passenger service in the states, but of course his need to refuel on hot and cold air would kill his job as it became costly aside from repairs.

And of course the sister Olga, she was made with a different method that proved to be even more powerful than Rolf's motor including having more room inside to where the controls could be on the side of her instead of the front, able to pull a train one thousand and one cars long while plowing snow to make water, she was considered the "Miracle Engine" due to this, she would even pull trains with such grace that she would be the chosen engine for the Snowpiercer, a train that held her maximum pulling power as she had her creator boarded as she and her long train set off to run forever and even around the world, right until she met Snowpiercer 2 and was taken in as a spare motor until the day she and the engine she worked in finally died in a sub-mountainous station after spending weeks traveling off-rail to find a radio signal that was mistaken for civilization. A horrid future awaits her as her brothers work on the glorious Island of Sodor.
