I really like how you’ve handled the anthropomorphism. An insect-based character isn't very common, and I believe these animals are hard to give human qualities because they are very different from us in so many ways. The simplicity of the shapes and curves add a sense of fluidity to the combination of human and bug characteristics, making it come together on the whole. I especially love how you did the hands: The small and pointy fingers resemble actual claws and gloves at the same time. Speaking of gloves- one of my favourite things about arthropods is how their exoskeleton is reminiscent of armour or some kind of fancy clothing, and I think you captured that in your design, even if it wasn’t intended.
The traditional colouring, textures and inking is lovely as well, and very pleasant to the eye.

Oh my god this is wonderful! I know who to commission if I get around making references for my insect characters!
I think my insect sona would be some kind of may or june beetle, or some exotic cockroach, they are cool!
