ACTUALLY, they were officially accepted as Creepypasta characters the same time Slenderman was. Because if you say they arent then technically Mr. Slendy isn't either since theyre all made by Marble Hornets

actually, they were accepted as creepypastas by the creepypasta fandom, but not the actual mh fandom(because we know they're not pastas and frankly that pisses (most) of us off) and slenderman wasn't created by marble hornets(THAC), he was created by victor surge, and he isnt in mh either, the slendy in mh is the operator, not slenderman. and slenderman, is a creepypasta(i think so), based on the fact ive found several stories on him, and there are zero 'offical', in-character pastas on masky and hoodie(unless of course you count well written mh fanfics that is)

Essentially, creepypasta are only written stories. They rely on the fandom to make them come to life, which is the case with any of the popular pastas we have these days. Which means when a pasta is accepted into the fandom, and is now considered a pasta, it might as well be a creepypasta. While MH maybe didn't create them to become a pasta, they also don't object or say anything on the subject (at least not that I've seen) which would make you assume they don't mind them being a pasta. And Slenderman was originally just a myth in history and was around long before he was introduced as a creepypasta, but based on the legend he began to come into the horror world (as made famous by Slender) and now he's the main "spokesperson" for creepypasta now since people generally come into the fandom from him; I know some people who have. Which means no one actually owns Slenderman, they simply own their interpretation of the character but he was around long before any of us were even born. There are actually an "official" creepypasta on Masky, it was a 4Chan thread, you can maybe still find it on the official site but I'm not sure anymore. Something to think about, the fandom makes the characters. Without fandoms, there wouldn't be any popularity, meaning we wouldn't know anything about them.

well actually what surfaced slenderman was actually a contest on a website to make a set of creepy pictures, the person who one made a tall, faceless man appear in pictures behind kids, hiding in playgrounds but little did this person know that there was an actual legend behind this, the slenderman that the creepypasta fandom knows and loves is different from the legend, the legend took place in the black forest in germany where a number of people went missing at night, never coming out, the only features people mentioned were that he was a tall faceless humanoid, no suit or tentacles, sounds a bit like the rake but differentΒ
