Granted Thanos is awesome, but Darkseid is really cool; especially when you think about it. Outside of their respective universes, Darkseid just wins, hands down.

Darkseid wins. The gauntlet does not work in the D.C. universe and Darkseid would never go into the Marvel universe. Once the gauntlet is out of the equation Darkseid overpowers Thanos in every category.

It's really the other way around. Thanos has tanked far more destructive attacks than darkseid, without even flinching, mind you, and everything else is fairly even, except that thanos is also one of the most powerful sorcerers in Marvel.Β

You need to factor in NEW 52. Darkseid beat the crap out of the Entire Justice League and has taken hits from Shazam who's powers are derived from magic. Oh and Darkseid is a GOD.

The argument that Darkseid is a god is 100% irrelevant. Just being a god doesn't automatically make you the most powerful in comic books.Β
Thanos routinely trashes everyone who comes up against him short of beings like Galactus. It doesn't matter if it's a group or singularly. He took Black Bolt's SCREAM at point blank range and ended up with a few scratches and a nose bleed. Thor, whose more recent feats put him right up there with Superman in terms of power, hit him at full force, lightning and all, and couldn't even make him flinch. I could go on.
