We knocked this one out at MECAF (drawn by Joe, colored by T.J.), and didn't scan it until now! We're looking to work her into the story soon. Bear in mind, "soon" for us could mean well into 2010. If only this were our day job...Related content

D'aww, it's about time you drew her again.
I never noticed it, but the split legs made me realize, she is a little skeleton right? Her design makes much more sense now.

Yah, that's just part of how the character evolved. I added the split legs (and arms when you can actually see them). Older drawings featured the big grey semicircles on her cheeks. That was supposed to make her look more skull-like, but they're kind of a pain to draw consistently. I think the big, dark eyes do a better job.
Actually, the toughest thing about Death-Anne is trying to make her stand out as a little kid among a young cast. Most of the characters in The Underburbs are 13-14, yet I draw them all considerably smaller than the adults (parents, teachers, Lyle).
