Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust...In the end we all fall and fall as we must...
Paint tool Sai, Photoshop CS5.1, Give take 35 layers with too many hours to recall.

Edit 6-18-2014: How could I forget his lovely mustache!? Had to add it, no question to his magnificence!
Second Edit 6-19-2014: Fixed those nebula clouds and added more glow. Now to stare at it and make sure nothing else needs tweaked.

The use of light and dynamic lines do a great job of drawing my eye through the piece. In fact, the swirl at the end of the phoenix's tail acts as a hook to grab my attention and move it back up to the center of the image. Fabulously done.

Daaaamn, lovely work on that. All the minute intricate details and style is just breathtaking. The clouds being illuminated from the phoenixes' glow, the planet erupting as it unleashes its wrath upon it... Just so much amazing all in one place.
