It's the weekend, and I'm finally in recovery mode from my huge week of the show opening, studio party and non-stop shooting so I can finally start posting a little more often. Look for new images (specifically prints) throughout the rest of the day.

This shoot has been very well received, and it is popular wherever it springs up on dA. Where else you ask? Check out the pages of =Catwoman69y2k , *groundlingchild , *wynnesome and (coming soon) *dmGremlin . This was truly a group effort.

This image is part of the series Rescue Me, a fund-raising effort designed to raise money for RatzenMauzers (RMCA of Las Vegas) a not-for-profit organization that takes in abused rats and finds them good homes. 100% of the print profits will go back to the shelter/foster homes, to cover items like bedding, food and ample cages. The models had a BLAST playing with all the rats, and one model (*Charalei ) adopted one on the spot.
To find out about how *you* can adopt one of these fuzzy cute babies (the rats, not the models), go to www.RatzenMauzers.com or e-mail Terry Williams at RatMom1@RatzenMauzers.com.

I love rats. We used to have a crapload of 'em. Like, twenty or twenty-five, we didn't know for sure. Their cage was huge.

I was homeschooled, and when I was doing my schoolwork, I used to keep one or two on my shoulder as a companion, usually Danielle or Sandra. They were all so well-behaved and mild that they stayed perched up on my shoulder for hours on end. Sure, there was the obvious consequence of doing such a thing, but it was worth it. They were so sweet.

On one surreal night, one of the smaller ones got caught behind the washer, and we didn't know it. When we turned it on, we heard a clunk and a squeak. Thinking the worst, we looked and saw that Mathilda (we named her after the incident) had caught a fan blade. With her left eye. She lost it, but fortunately she pulled through with flying colors. She went on to live to the ripe age of three. She was a good little rat.

We've since given them all good homes, but I'll always remember them. This pic reminds me of Sandra, although she had a black hood. She was so curious.

Sorry for rambling. I just love me some rats. And some legs. ^_^
