Just did this for like the last hour and a half. A quick doodle. Sorry thatβs really sloppy and unkempt and just bad.
But I wanted to take some time to honor in memory of jasperorangebuns (tumblr) and their wonderful blog full of art that they loved and cherished, along with many of their followers (Yes, some of it was NSFW, specifically for the ship of these two characters, but no one should be sent hate just because you both don't like the ship or the genre of art. They had to literally delete their entire blog and that is totally wrong of the anons. If you don't like it then just block it. The have a right to express their art.) Sorry that itβs probably not as good their art, or, just not good at all but I wanted to do something, because that is really unfair~
This is probably the first digital piece that was ever actually completed, completed, even though it's so bad.
So this is all I could do~ You can critique if you want as long as your are polite~

Hey look, another bad interpretation of a poorly-though-out gem.
Out of all the characters in Steven Universe, Lapis is one of the ones that fans think is just sweet and marshmallowy, or serious and powerful. But the person writing this comment thinks she's just a bad character in general.
First of all, she's OP, even for a gem (OP means Overpowered). She can control at least 5 water clones at a time, all the while holding up a tower made of water that reaches space, WHILE HER GEM IS CRACKED! And the fandom just makes her more OP by making fanart portraying her like this.
Second, the show could of done just fine without Lapis. The Crystal Gems would of already poofed Jasper, and one antagonist would of been out of the way, and Malachite wouldn't be a problem.
Third, the fandom and it's UNDIEING LOVE for her. It's just plain annoying.
And Lapidot. Or any Lapis ship for that matter.
Now. As of Chile Tid, we know Lapis has been struggling with keeping in control of Malachite. So this picture doesn't make sense.

What the fuck? It's just a simple picture for someone who had to delete her blog because of people like you who don't know when to just keep to yourself. If you don't like it don't look at it, shut up and go on your merry way, no one deserved your bitchy negativity and no one fucking cares who you like or don't like. If the opinion of yours is going to make you an asshole then keep your mouth shut.
And anyway this picture makes total sense, you just said she was OP and then turn around and say it doesn't make sense to be able to handle Jasper. This could be the very moment she trapped herself and Jasper when she was more capable before she started struggling since she's attempting to keep her down there forever.
And then her not being there would have made it too easy and the story would have no reason to progress if they already defeated their main enemies. It's called plot twist, look it up. Yeah they've would've done fine, too fine, it was to prove that everything will not constantly go in the characters favor.
