Hey, sorry for the late reply but thanks a lot for taking the time to write a critique! 
About the composition: Most of the time, I don't position the subject right in the center of an image but I considered this technique appropriate for this shot. Here's why: The first title for this photo was "Left Behind". The empty space around the kitten aims to support this idea of abandonment and isolation. A different crop wouldn't have had the same effect on the atmosphere.
After all, I thought the title was a little too dark though and I wanted to avoid discussions on animal cruelty (the kitten was absolutely fine) so I changed the title into something more positive. Now I like to think that the kitten could be about to return to their family or friends even though it had been disappointed by them ... or that the kitten decided to leave but not in anger. Thus, the idea of isolation remained and I left the crop as it was.
By the way, I'm not a fan of photographing animals (especially pets) from a higher angle. It mostly looks unprofessional and the perspective also tends to imply that an animal would have a lower value than the viewer.

I love how you took this picture. Itβs very interesting to see how the lighting is bordering around the cat while the in the middle of the cat, there are more shadows to it. You've got a really interesting depth of field while taking this because the green colour goes well with the background and there's more focus on the grass, but around the cat. For the grass around the cat, there are more details sticking out, and also show some shadows as well. The whiskers are popping out even more, especially on the parts where the body is. Very clear view and easily seen! Very interesting style to shading and how lines are drawn and very nice impact on the viewer. Very excellent piece and beautifully displayed and unique style that no one else can mimic. A very admirable piece of work here! Safe to say that every fan of this needs to see this! Not the most original piece but greatly made up for it with the pose and style added to this art as well as the shading technique and how the folds are to the clothing piece! I think majority would agree that this is beautiful!

I like the light illuminating the outermost hair and the intensity of the kittens stair. I don't like how the grass go's out of focus around edges, but that is just me, it's common for a lot of photographers to do this to focus on just the subject. Kittens do lots of cool things so they are common to take photos of so that's why the impact and originality are mid grade stars. Catching the light was great, a nice halo effect and just getting any animal photo where all aspects work out right is to be commended. So all in all I like this photo, great job. My goal when taking photos is to try and get a unexpected shot that's not influenced by me. Catching things as they are and being themselves. This you did and its not easy. Keep up the great work.
