Just wanted to comment that I like this image a lot, and the title is appropriate. I assume you applied a blur filter on the foreground / background to draw the viewer's eye to the center, which is a great effect. My suggestion would be to use a gradient adjustment layer applying the blur so that it's not so abrupt, and not so obvious that you did that. This would give it more of a natural depth of field look. Just a suggestion for the future. Of course, if you didn't do that, then I just made an ass out of myself!

Most of the time, I keep my thoughts to myself, but your work is very good to begin with, and I was once called out for making the same mistake. I learned that there are some people that really examine details in our images instead of "Cool photo, I'm gonna fave it.", never really looking at it, what the artist did past cropping, tweaking, etc. I've noticed that no matter how many times a deviant will ask for comments instead of faves, it never happens. I'm glad you took it as constructive, and feel free to return the "favor" if you ever see something in my work. I hope what years we have left get progressively happier as well! I also look forward to seeing your progress!

I always enjoy the short focal length in landscape images because they make it feel like a small scale model. It makes the world feel small and large at the same time. There's so much fun to be had with this technique.

Well, you did succeed in creating confusion. Please check out the work of Ansel Adams for a different view. Of course, none of us every come close to what he accomplished, so perhaps it is best we do not try. When you overdo the special effects, you lose the impact. You might also want to check out the Rule of Thirds. Sometimes weird is not wonderful.

I don't know if I already said it or not but the really cool thing about this picture is that everything looks miniature. How exactly did you achieve that? If you don't mind me asking, where did you take that picture?

Very pretty. The tilt-shift effect makes me think of a very tiny, very real world.
