He´s part of a fantasy story - or rather world - I created many years ago.
I only wrote some 100 pages, but put much more effort into all the background
information and history.

In this world, people are reborn in a buddhistic manner. There´s a powerful
wizard who somehow managed to keep his consciousness every time he´s
reborn, which drove him insane. He desperately wants to die.
There´s also a witch who can bring things to life, creating elemental creatures
made of earth, fire or anything - so he forces her to summon something even
more fundamental than the elements, which is how Lares is created. He´s an
incarnation of all the good in the world, meant to be killed so that all of
reality is thrown off ballance and will come to an end...

I have to go back to this some day!

You should continue the story!  I think it is so cool when people can create entire worlds like that. It sounds like a great start!

I am currently reading a book called "The Wishsong of Shannara" by Terry Brooks. It's so great, it has a lot to do with mind over matter and being in control of your thoughts and life.

I will at some point. I feel deeply connected to this world and
characters. I´ve been listening to the new Blind Guardian Album
lately, and it made me think about it. I was mostly listening to
them when I worked on that story many years ago.

Have you checked it out? I think you might like it. They used a
huge orchestra and it´s very dominant throughout the entire record.
I´ve never heard metal and classic in such perfect ballance before:

I´d be honored to have you read some of the stuff I wrote!
It´s all german though... yet I think I might be able to translate
it myself when it ever comes to publishing something.
I´m currently working on something sci-fi rather than fantasy.
Something I came up with while listening to Stratovarius. It´s
just the same connection as with Blind Guardian back then...
Mind over Matter will be a very big topic in it as well.

Is Shannara a Series of Books or just one? Can you tell
me something about it?

I think Google translate would mess it up beyond comprehension, so if you could translate it, that would be great Sci-fi is a good genre as well I can imagine Statovarius inspiring a sci-fi story.

Shannara is a series. I'm only on the third book of the first sub-series, but the story has started out almost exactly the same for all three books; a Druid that everyone thought to be dead reemerges and drags seemingly "common-folk"(of the same bloodline) with elven powers into a mission to save the Four Lands. Shannara is a long series with sets of sub-series within it. It's Lord of the Rings-ish, so I really like the books.

It would, for sure! xD Google translator only works for single words.
Have you ever tried to translate something multiple times? Like from
english to spanish, to italian and then back to english? It´s awesome!

If you want me to, I can summarize the story for you.

Oh, so it´s kind of about reincarnation, is it? Isn´t that one of

What were you trying to translate? Anything scandinavien?

It´s a sci-fi story in the sense of Fringe, which is one of my
favourite shows. I was often wondering why german television
is so bad... we do have good actors and everything but it feels
like our producers take themselfes too seriously. I´d love to
see something as over the top as american or english productions
set in germany. With that in mind, I began creating this concept
similar to Fringe or the X-Files. A special unit dealing with obscure
crime cases. There would be a bigger concept unfolding throughout
the show. I was thinking about mind over matter a lot and came
up with this Idea for my story. Along the lines of mind over matter,
you´ve probably heard of the idea that all of reality is a holographic
projection we create subconsciously. That´s what i was toying
around with: In this sci-fi universe I´m creating, people are basically
able to alter reality with certain restrictions. One person could
technically fly or have all kinds of superpowers if he´s just convinced
of it - however, reality is a creation of all intelligent beings, so their
conviction that people can´t fly or do fantastic things serves as a
counterweight.
It will not be as spectacular as that, but towards the end of the
story, I´m going to mess with this Idea.

You guessed it! Both songs are partly in Finnish: the beginning of Lai Lai Hei by Ensiferum, and the end of Nightwalkers by Omnium Gatherum.

I've never seen Fringe, is it a fairly new show? I stopped watching T.V. a few years ago, so I'm out of the loop . I have heard about something similar to the holographic world we create for ourselves. That sounds like a very intriguing story Frederick . Have you heard about the String Theory? It follows a similar mentality to the holograph idea. An object may seem solid, but you could walk through a wall if you changed the "frequency" of your body. If that's the case, I think that I am the same frequency as some songs and bands that inexplicably touch my soul .

So am I! My television is only for DVD´s and Videogames when
friends are visiting. I know american mainstream is awful but ours
is just a copy of yours... it´s 10 times worse. X_X

Fringe is my favourite Show! It´s an older show I used to watch
when I moved out from home. It starts out like the X-Files. There´s
this FBI Unit investigating strange crime cases. As the story progresses,
it turns more and more into a sci-fi show, with alternate universes
and such themes. I mostly love it because of the strong cast.
Yes, I know the string theory. It´s also a topic in fringe. Alternative
universe are believed to coexist in the same place, just in different
frequencies, so that they never touch - just like walking through walls...

I feel the same about the music I love! Sometimes a song just
feels like it´s yours while others pass right through you like ghosts...

I had decided to drop cheap entertainment and go to a few great concerts each year instead of spending money on a big TV and expensive TV service. I recently saw the price of a massive television screen, it was the same price as a plane ticket to Finland!

Sounds like an interesting show. I'll have to see if I can borrow a few episodes from the library (along with Hellboy) .

That pretty much sums it up! Some songs are just too good to be something to listen to, instead, they are something to be felt.

Ja, die Bilder haben jetzt allesamt circa 5 Jahre auf dem Buckel. Ich arbeite auch schon länger nichtmehr an der Geschichte, mache aber weiterhinn notizen... es wächst und wächst...irgendwann werde ich mich bereit fühlen und in ein oder zwei wochen alles beenden
