Description My long running Kung-Fu Panda OC, Sho-Tetsu Fuzen TaiShenMao Kusanagi.

Or ... Shen-Mao for short.

There's a lot of history, behind my character however... I'll skip all of it.

The abridged history of Shen-Mao...

Tetsu is a snow leopard from Japan. He was born to a small family in an isolated village that was destroyed by a mysterious plague that annihilated anyone with chi. The only two people to survive the plague were himself and his older brother Royokon. Life was hard for the snow leopard brothers, and Royokon decided that the Japanese Military was the best place to put his younger sibling, so that he would be out of harms way. Obviously that was a foolish choice.

In his short service in the military, Tetsu was given the 'opportunity' to travel to China to aid the warring factions to unify the land. He was given a small platoon of soldiers and set out in the wilds of a new world. While venturing through China, Tetsu came upon the Valley of Peace, ( like all good antagonists should ), and met and befriended the young Shifu. ( apparently along with Junjie, FengHaung, TaoTai and the rest of the 'Original' Furious Five )

Not staying long, Tetsu traveled north to Mongolia to fight, but was betrayed by the Chinese Army when the Mongols began to destroy their ranks and instill confusion and doubt. When the fighting had ended, everyone but Tetsu had died and he was left to wander the snow on his own... lost and hungry.

He was eventually found by a roaming Mongolian Warlord and enslaved. For over a year, he was beaten, abused and bitched at in a language he could barely understand. However the time eventually came for Tetsu's liberation, when a woman... The SoothSayer of the Mongolian Roaming Clan, stepped forward and murdered the Mongol Leader. She set, Tetsu free, revealing that she was an Assassin, blending into the group waiting for the right moment to strike. With the Assassins aid, Tetsu was free and the two beat back and destroyed the Mongols.

The Assassin, Xue Wu, decided to keep Tetsu for herself and bring him back to her base of operations. A mobile fortress that caused blizzards wherever it roamed; The Sanctuary. When arriving in the Sanctuary, Tetsu was brought up to speed about the operation and how it was run. Assassins are all female, that kill incredibly high value targets for money. But will hide among their targets for years if necessary. If the target is 'useful' the Assassin may coax the target into a relationship that will end in the Assassins pregnancy. Usually not long after, the Assassin will then kill their target and return to the Sanctuary.

No males are allowed in the Sanctuary, and all male children are to be exterminated when bred.

Tetsu wasn't sure how he was going to survive, but Xue ensured that, the leader, she was going to bend the rule and keep him. Xue's twin sister, Yue, however... wasn't happy about it. But their bond went further than tradition and she allowed Tetsu to remain among the base for roughly a year.

When Xue had her kittens, she birthed a litter of five. Two males, Setsuna and Mitsurugi, and three females, Sai-Yue, Reika, and Fu-Mai. One male was particularly weak, and didn't survive through the initial birthing process, however the other male was fine... But it left Tetsu incredibly paranoid and he refused to sleep, not knowing if Xue or Yue would attempt to kill his son. He finally faded into sleep after one week of fighting it off, only to wake up discovering that the child in his arms had been replaced with one of his daughters. He charged towards Xue and Yue who were in possession of his son, Setsuna. Due to Xue's hesitation, Setsuna was unharmed, but Yue was persistant about upholding tradition. Tetsu on the other hand had no choice but the run, and for the first time in over a year, he exposed himself to the other thousand Assassins that dwelled within the Sanctuary.

As if by magic, Tetsu was able to escape, but he was greatly wounded in the process. But he didn't allow his wounds to slow his retreat. Within four days, he managed to flee all the way to the Valley of Peace where he begged Shifu to take charge of his son. Reluctant at first, Shifu didn't wish to take the boy, but he realized he had no choice, or he would feel horrible. It was at that point that Tetsu renamed his son to, Tai-Lung, to keep him hidden ...

... you know ... because still being a snow leopard isn't a big enough red flag.

With Setsuna, 'safe', Tetsu retreated further into China, but was eventually located and killed ...

However, he was unaware that he'd been a devout follower of a Blood God his entire life... and that particular deity had decided to give Tetsu a second chance... Returning in the form of a malevolent spirit, Tetsu possessed his own child, the young Tai-Lung, to envelop the boy in an explosion of raw skill and talent, that would be saturated into his memory and muscles over time. It would also slowly corrupt his spirit and turn the child into a malevolent being himself... But no one was aware of it ... except for Oogway.

When Tai-Lung was denied the Dragon Scroll, he went berserk an was locked away in his own personal hell, Chorh-Gom Prison. It was there that Tetsu was finally able to become a father for his son... in the most abstract way possible.

Tai-Lung was kept under a constant, Paralyzing Hold while trapped in Oogway's Turtle Shell, which put Tai-Lung's mind in a state of half-dead limbo. Within this realm, he was able to meet his father face to face... As far as he knew, it was all a pleasant dream, manipulated by his flights of fancy and desire to live a happy, unpainful, non-work related life... When in reality, his memory was being augmented and maintained by the spirit of his father... That horrible dream lasted for 20 years.

When the day came where the Dragon Warrior fell from the heavens in a ball of fire, Tetsu decided that his son needed another burst of pure rage and stamina, that it was time to escape... With the aide of Zeng's feather, Tai-Lung made his amazing one man escape from Chorh-Gom prison and made his away towards the Valley of Peace as in instrument of anger and death. He was intercepted mid-way by the Furious Five and dispatched them with the very technique that was used to disable him twenty years ago. Upon reaching the Jade Palace, Tai-Lung engaged Shifu in a death battle, and was about to rip his head off when the Dragon Warrior finally arrived, carrying the very item that his life was structured upon ... and the 'real' final battle ensued.

Tai-Lung was victorious, but his victory was incredibly short lived as he realized that the very thing he had bled his entire life for ... was fake.

Defeated, he fought the Dragon Warrior one last time, in blind desperation. Feeling no support from his anger, no joy from his rage, no satisfaction from his malice and lost. He soon found himself on the receiving end of a beating that ended in the infamous Wuxi FingerHold, a destructive Chi ability with massive massive stopping power to organic life forms.

Tai-Lung was obliterated ... or so it seemed.

Augmenting the massive damage, the Wuxi FingerHold's immense destructive force was staggered by Tetsu's rearrival in the world. The blast was powerful enough to physically remove Tetsu from his son's body, along with another generous 'last chance' from his angry god. With this new body, Tetsu rescued his son and retreated to Chorh-Gom Prison, the only place in China where they could hide, and began to rejuvenate him back to vicious angry health.

It was at this point that Tetsu decided upon his new name, Tai-Shen, borrowing the alias from his son. And with his new disguise he returned to China to find medicine and tools, while occasionally fleeing to do his own dealing around China, for he had a mission...

... destroy everything.

Or... so it seemed.

Anyways, this has been me ... Attempting more characters with Genesis. It's been fun.

Thanks for viewing.

More in scraps.

But damn does Lazy feel good. >.> Although the Ps4 and the XboxOne are on the horizon... perhaps I should start ... you know ... not being lazy. >.<;

Dah, that's Shen-Mao as I've roughly ... always pictured him. It's taken a while to get him to where he is. X3 It sounds insane, but he's actually got about 4 appearances, that he's had over his life. The original, Tetsu, was a really young version of what you see here, but without black hands and feet. Along with less muscles and hate in his eyes. His eyes also were golden, instead of crimson. Shen-Mao, the one you see here, after he's suffered through all the pain and anguish life had to offer and he's masked all his injuries with a high level, passive chi ability. Old Shen-Mao ( kinda like Old Snake ), but he looks more like a black panther aside from a Snow Leopard. He's completely black, and sporting overgrown hair and an overgrown beard. Then there was a strange Tiger/Shen-Mao appearance that he gained while he was an Assassin, which was technically his strongest period in his life. But the 'tiger stripes' were just traces of chi scarring, that managed to blot out his own spots.

Haha, and yeah he's got some face fuzz on his chin. He is 68 after all. He just hides it well.

lol I talk too much X3

But you know you can always work long narratives out of me, simply by asking questions.

>.0; I can't resist answering a question.

He's a villain X3. Nonsense is how clowns act at the darned circus [link]

HectorNY In reply to UnrealFox [2013-06-12 03:00:47 +0000 UTC]

I can see how he can be a villian. But then again, I can also picture him as a relative of Miyu.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

UnrealFox In reply to HectorNY [2013-06-12 03:13:08 +0000 UTC]

He's about as much of a Villain as Sephiroth would be. He's not actively destructive and dangerous like The Joker, or someone like ... Freiza. But he's got many plans that involve pain and suffering, that involve some people dying along the way. But he uses his cunning to avoid most obvious tropes that befall villains. To the point there he starts training other would-be villains, how to survive, out smart and eventually defeat the forces of good.

However, there is no true victory against justice. Just the ability to stagger your own down fall X3

But he does have the ears like Miyu. Heh heh, I bet they would look quite delectable together..........

I should make Miyu too at some point X3

Sounds as if he's a bit of a Lex Luthor. But even he eventually retired due to his overuse of Kryptonite. Shen-Mao I can see as the type that after a defeat would come back to fight another day.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

UnrealFox In reply to HectorNY [2013-06-12 03:48:40 +0000 UTC]

He's the type to avoid defeat at all costs. But yes, if he suffers a loss. It's time to lick your wounds and continue the charge another day. There's no shame in losing fairly, but there's no honor in dying unnecessarily X3

That seems right for him.
