Description
Having found the perfect sacrifices for her Beast, Shokoti binds her victims Teela and Evil-Lyn to the sacrificial alters in her temple and begins to call forth the Beast from it's dark pit. As the room fills with a heavy green smoke, an eerie, inhuman dark form begins to rise from the pit. Teela can't help but look to Evil-Lyn, her sworn enemy and sees the same terror in her own eyes as they both futilely struggle against their chains....Related content

This is a perfect homage to a great cartoon!
House of Shokoti was a very special episode of He Man. Truly scary... and later I would find the Lovecraft references.
But your idea of the sacrifice is cool, and Evil Lyn doesn't have that funny hat, so, is her hair silver?

Uroboros, once again you're work is stunning. I swear you can detect the air currents that are making the smoke swirl. NICE touch. The shading and shadowing is more muted here than in most of your pieces, but that works here. First of all, it's smoke. Smoke, mist, and haze defuse light, after all. Second and more important, the camera work is far more dramatic.
So Shokoti is sacrificing to some beast. For most other people, I would say it's a lesser power gambling with control for a greater power, but in this case I say Shokoti is more like an elite lion tamer. These two are merely to treats to get the first step of submission to her.
Shokoti looks lovely. Very strong, surprisingly modest, yet very, very sultry. I love her hair. Let's face it -- a sultry brunette is always captivating.
Teela and Evil-Lyn look ... tragic. They're strugging. You did a good job of displaying active muscle. However, maybe it's me but it looks like a lot of the fight is going out of them.
Um ... if this is another on-going story and we're allowed to vote like last time, my vote is please keep this going, and please note that 'sacrifices' don't always end in death. I DO wonder, though. Is this another timeline? No Evil-Teela! *sigh*

Thanks, I thought it turned out well (I did cheat a bit with the smoke in photoshop to get some of the movement).
I was always a fan of the "House of Shokoti" episodes from the original MOTU cartoon; Shokoti herself being an ancient evil that was going to unleash some Lovecraftian horror on Eternia made Skeletor's gang look pretty minor league. To bad they didn't use her more. I just wanted to do a piece recreating the beast summoning scene "my way".

At first (upon seeing your prior image before getting a chance to comment) I thought it was the doing of Kothos (from Episode: The Witch and the Warrior) whom wanted revenge against Evil-Lyn and Teela happened to be there so he took her too, who wouldn't

Wow. I would have won odds in Vegas she was the captor. Second on the list would have been Screech, a fallen Guardian of Grayskull, until recently, locked in the form of a falcon. Skeletor would have been a very distant third.
Skreech being a fallen guardian of Grayskull is a concept for my fan fiction series I haven't gotten around to yet.
