Kinda scary and kinda cool at the same time. The plant helps, too. Quite some saint!

Looking at this I am struck by a desire to have a plushie of the jackalope fetus saint. Too bad I can't sew.

Aww! It's so cute! I just want to hold it, and cuddle it! No matter how slightly disturbing it is...

Ever consider that subconsciously or inadvertently you could be like, the herald of the anti-christ or something? hahaha jk jk. Pretty crazy stuff though!

Jackalope fetus saint? Well,... I was gonna say a goat saint fetus, but jackalope works!

Beautiful background, you should explain what you did to get that more fully in the caption.

There should be more people like you in the world, doing things like this.

That is nice. I have no idea what it is, either, but it's beautifully done. Good choice of textures for the background, it works quite well with the figure.

Cute, and Disturbing!
.... I now have the urge to start figuring out DnD stats for it. Oooo! Or Shadowrun.... I'm getting the vibe of Mystic Adept from this thing... Uhm... Hi. This is me on no sleep and lotsa caffeine.

Pretty cool. I find myself imagining the fantasy agrarian culture that would come up with this 'saint'.

The only thing I'm disappointed about here is since you don't know what it is, there's no little story blurb.
It is extremely ugly cute. Which is a good thing. I think.

'Jackalope fetus saint thing with baby hands'...that works for me. The background is very intriguing.

It looks like *something* I feel like I should recognize.... but the jackalope fetus sounds pretty plausible! I'd fave it twice if I could.

You know, with the title unsaint, I was expecting the description of this guy to refer to his demonic nature. And I suppose that wasn't your real intention, but there's something oddly demonic about him. Maybe the redder feet? I see him almost as a seedling of the antichrist for lack of a better name for it instead of a saint.

Valiant188 [2009-05-21 23:33:55 +0000 UTC]
I doubt this was your intention, but this maked me think of the antiChrist. The little baby thing looks like a baby Baphomet, which is the Devil or something. The head ring makes me imagine that a very young Pope was chosen, but it was an agent of evil.
I don't think it's an evil piece though! Just voicing my thoughts.

The thing about art like this is that I want to know exactly what went through your mind to inspire it. The problem with that is that thoughts like this rarely come in the form of coherent sentences.
The background texture is freakin' awesome.

This kind of reminds me of the baby from Eraserhead, which I watched the other day, and now cannot get out of my brain. Unclean! Unclean!
It kind of walks that cute/creepy tightrope.

Sooo... read the journal entry about Kevin freaking out over a painting in progress, and then later I saw this show up on my Devwatch... and didn't make the connection until I saw the LJ entry linking it. I dunno. It's not hitting the cute OR the freaky buttons for me. It's just interesting. I think it's technically beautiful, because my brain is focusing on the shading technique and whatnot. Called my girlfriend over, and she just said 'I like it!'
