This is a shot of a green vine snake that was posing nicely for me at the Nashville Zoo. The photo turned out pretty well despite the fact that it was taken through glass.Related content

This is a truly great shot given that it was taken through glass. Well done. any special tips you have for taking shots through glass?
i like the composition and the DOF in this image. the blurry stick in the image is a little distracting though. Maybe you could clone it out?

beautiful shot! you've done an amazing job, i was wondering y you could perhaps send me more pictures of that snake, it doesnΒ΄t matter if they're not great, i'm doing a research on the camouflage of that particular snake and it is really hard to find decent pictures... Thanks for the fave, I have not seen that snake posed so perfectly since the day I took that photo (and I have been back several times). Sometimes getting the perfect pose is just plain luck

Yes, I took a look at them. Like all the photos in your gallery they are excellent. I was also impressed by your insect shots. The lighting and color is always perfectly balanced. You definately know your way around a camera. I look forward to seeing your future work.
