In my alternate history series "The American" I wake up in Paris on January 30, 1933. I spend the next twelve years consulting the Allies on how to prepare for and fight World War II. From July 17, 1933 to September 1, 1939 I am with the Soviet Union.

Гвиневра (Gvinevra) Котов (Kotov) is my fictional personal secretary. Gvinevra is the Russian form of Jennifer, my favorite female name. Kotov is a common Russian last name that means cat.
