Again inspired by the work of This material was a pain to create in Maxwell but with some help I was able to make it. There is still some refraction in the thin parts of the object, but without pushing the SSS coefficient even higher that wont go away.Related content

This was Maxwell Render and I went to SL20, which takes about 4 times longer than I would normally render to. This was also a particularly difficult SSS material, so the render time was about 40 hours. Computer was a mid-2010 Mac Pro 8-core, specs here: support.apple.com/kb/SP589
