this is all done by hand, the text and everything. and omg this took so much time to finish
I just had to delete this and resubmit it, because the one i submitted last night wasn't working properly.
This is my submission for the contest over at It's based on the song "Hey Bulldog" By the Beatles. Which "Hey Bulldog" is my favorite song by them ^__^
As you see, i used stuff from the movie "Yellow Submarine." THE DOG-THINGS AT THE BOTTOM ARE FROM THAT MOVIE AND THEY ARE NOT OF MY CREATION!! XD they're of the creation of the dude who did yellow submarine. i just redrew it XP and if you'll notice, i did paul, george, and ringo as the cartoon versions of that movie. I left out john as you see, but decided to use his eyes as the main focus in this piece. Yes, these are the eyes of john lennon. Drawn by hand with a picture for a reference, and done only in graphite. i'm really happy with how it came out, i poured a lot of my heart and soul into drawing his eyes alone.
The line "You think you know me, but you haven't got a clue" are lyrics from the song.
Now, to tie this whole thing together, i used like a "ribbon" of piano keys. which the piano plays a strong powerful part in the song i'd say.
I wasn't going to have a background behind the words at first, and then i decided to add some oddly colored flowers because it just looked too empty
MY SCANNER DID THIS PIECE NO JUSTICE AT ALL!! ;_; it raped it of detail and color. since the eyes are done in graphite, the shine that's picked up a little takes away from the effect. and wrinkles in the paper didn't help either ;_;
Hmmm....what am i forgetting to say???????? i know i'm forgetting something...
OH YEA!! and the dog to the left is the first thing that i ever colored in with prismacolor markers. litterally. and as you see, i messed it up a wittle bit XD
