Description An inked drawing I did for my uni project work that I never got around to scanning, I left the head off on purpose to so you look more to the legs and power of movement and stuff, but I dunno, it looks a bit odd headless..

It's awesome the way it is, without the head ~ like you said, it puts the focus on the legs. Beautiful capture of motion! Had to it.

This is very striking. The legs and hoofs of a horse are often the hardest parts, and you did an excellent job. Well done! I shall add to my fav's

That's beautiful! It's so graceful yet it has so much power - essence of the horse, really.

*smile* thanks for your comment, I love to hear it when anyone thinks I've done something to capture their 'essence', its really what I love to do

ah, i love horses and horse pictures
apart from the muscles and stuff (which are great) I really like the movement depicted, the running.

It does look a bit strange as headless horses go...: P The focus is already at the body, since the head is off to the side, so unless you make it particularly striking it shouldn't take from the focus.

Plus of course, the fact I couldn't fit the head on the page anyway

doesn't look weird/odd/strange at all; a lot of artists do this. your study is the best I've seen looks like you used an Arabian as your subject, lol

Ah! It's been decapitated! X3

But really, it looks fine. I love how the shadows bring out the muscles and whatnot. That's hard to do.
