A picture I did for a contest-thing!
These two green fellows are called "grendels" and are sort of "the bad guys" in the Artificial Intelegence/Life game series "Creatures ".
Creatures 3 was my first encounter with these games and still a favorite game of mine.
Once one of these grendel guys went into my Norn Terrarium and beat the crap out of my norns, I fell instantly in love and has raised grendels ever since XD
Anyhow, this is a mother grendel with her baby, in the C3 jungle terrarium. The grendels of this game are very violent, so I thought that the mother would feel plain proud as her baby train it's new teeth on her tail. Cute?? .-.
I straight off stole the background from Creatures 3. Not intended as an act of laziness, I just thought it be a nice effect (fine, maybe some laziness too...).

Awesome Grendel, although it does bring back bad memories of when the Grendels in C3 would kill all my baby Norns!
I did make a sweet Grendel-Ettin-Norn mega-crossbreed once, so that wasn't so bad.
He was a spunky little mutant scamp, I remember.

Oh my dog, this brings back SO many memories. o_o I never played C3 but I loved 1 and 2. Strangely enough, my Grendels were never THAT violent...

I prefer Creatures 1, myself, but that's mostly because Creatures 3 (and Docking Station) is too slow on my machine...
But still. I didn't know you were into Creatures. XD This is awesome.

Grendels! Creatures! I love that game ^^ I have Creatures 1 and Creatures 3, but 1 is sooo difficult @.@ When I got 3, that seemed like really really easy - the creatures actually listen to you there!
Well, anyway, on to the picture. I really like the baby Grendel, it seems so deterement to 'kill it's prey'. I think that, for the 'dark and intense' atmosphere you were going for, it would have been better to make the colouring darker, especially the purple. You could have used a very strong light source on the Grendels, or make it seem like the light was shining through leaves to create a jungle effect. Right now, I think the purple is just too... happy
