This seems pretty believable... i mean, it's not uncommon at all for someone to hate or fear something, and then that thing to become a fetish for them later on. I also imagine Rarity to be an extremely tactile pony, who loves sensations... and rolling around in and covering herself with mud would feel very interesting and nice.

I bet she enjoys mud baths at the spa, but would be embarrassed if her friends found out...

Actually, I don't think that it would be impossible for Rarity to actually be like this in the show if it wasn't supposed to be E-rated.

That sounded strange so let's put it this way.

If the show allowed mature stuff then I can imagine Rarity liking being physically dirty whenever she is feeling emotionally dirty (aka Kinky)
