Thank you I like to play with low angles and cats have fun with it too. He was chasing the camera For the tone, there was actually a big fire in a place near by so the sky was covered with smoke and that's why the tone is kinda weird...

I just wrote a whole paragraph about how wonderful this photograph is, and then I must have accidentally deleted it... How disappointing. In any case, I think this photograph is beautiful, and I love (really love) the perspective and composition, and the colour, and the lighting, and detail in the foreground and on the cat, and the white in the background, and I think it is absolutely wonderful, and I would be so very happy if I had taken this photograph . And the cat is lovely - is he yours? (Sorry - any excuse to talk about cats...)

Well firstly thank you very much for all your nice words! I'm really happy that you like this photo so much! The cat is not mine, it was a friend's. I was there for vacations and i fell in love with that cat! He was so playful That's how i decided to use this perspective...it seemed that every time that i would put the camera low to the ground he would run and attack it...so i was running backwards and the cat kept following me. I took many photos until i actually got a good one cause i couldn't see what i was shooting or be cause he was so close that my camera couldn't focus...hehe...but it was fun and i got a really nice photo after all You should try playing the mouse too maybe you'll manage to get a nice photo like this one!

You're welcome . I do love the photo... I know what you mean about playing 'cat and mouse' with the camera - I have tried, many times, but as you say, I'm never quick enough to take the picture before the cat I am trying to photograph is on top of the camera! I have never tried running backwards, though - I'll see if it works . I can see why you fell in love with this cat... He is lovely...

I'm sure you'll manage to do it! Just find a place with a nice simple background...it works better if you are outdoors...and start playing with your model Just remember to keep your camera really low on the ground if you want a similar perspective...i'm sure you'll figure it out...

I am afraid I will have to be boring and say what everyone else has said - I absolutely love the perspective and composition (really, really do), and the colours are amazing; the lighting is wonderful, and the detail in the foreground, with the bright white in the background, well... I don't know what to say. Inspiring, I suppose. I aspire to take photographs like this, and I will always be in hope of producing something like this photograph... Oh, and the cat is adorable - is he yours?

I'm not really sure...i don't think he's an original breed...it might be a mix of a siamese cat with something else...

Awesome, I would try this approach with my cat but she will probably run up to the camera before I can take it lol. I should try though. I tried to take one of her laying down, she got right up xD

haha! yes i know what you mean...this one was also running towards the camera all the time...like he wanted to attack it...but you should try it...maybe you'll get the chance to take a nice shot before the cat has its face all over the lens

Not many...about 10? I had in mind to take the photo from ground level...so i had the camera low and i couldn't see through the viewfinder...and the cat kept coming too close to the lens...so i always had to run a bit farther away to have some time to prepare my shot before he came too close again...but i think the result came out nice
