My second serious try at making a rose cane with leaves. Still struggling a lot with the technique, but I wonΒ΄t give up
Biggest mistake here was to apply the cane slices onto transparent clay, which got some flecks during baking. So, note to self, donΒ΄t use transparent clay for a bead base. Still, I liked how it turned out, and am pleased with the finished jewelry. I added some strass spacers, Bohemian glass beads and magenta- and white-colored Polaris beads.

And I'm excited about the beads. I'm going to go bead shopping soon-- I want to make an autumn necklace with reds and golds and a bit of green and the fabulous new copper wire I bought.

And bead shops are the most dangerous place for my money! Money just disappears there, I don't know why!
The only problem with copper is it's so soft, I'm afraid my work will pull apart.

Ah, yes, the Friday challenges, I have read about them. I am currently working on bead embroidery, and hope this will become a Friday challenge in the next few months
Yes, that is a problem with copper. Hope you find a way to integrate it! Maybe doubling or tripling the wire?
