Fanart of the awesome manga serie NANA, which ,I'm sure, is gonna end up in a pretty sad way.
I honestly can't look at it anymore. And I don't even know if I like it or not. If I have time I'll fix a few things, but still.
Prints of this are going to be sell at the Otakuthon, a convention in Montreal. : )

Did you see the Live Action Movies? The first one sticks clean but the second I have not seen yet - and heard it strays from the Manga a lot. Plus none of the same actors. The first movie has a lot of famous actors. Love.

Yeah, I saw the first movie, not the second one yet. I'm sad they changed Hachi tho, she doesn't seem as cute as the first one was... But Nakashima's still doing Nana, which is a good thing. Even if I personally think that Anna Tsukiya would have been a better Nana <3

The shading is amazing. I think my favorite part other than the shading/colors on their faces is the amount of details on the jacket. Love the contrast between the colors in this. This is lovely work!

I had the same reaction as you. Obviously, I like it pretty much, but the thing that could bugs me is the bg and its color. Otherwise, I'm too a big fan of the NANA serie and it's beautiful! <3

If you want my honest opinion, I like it but I don't love it. Technically it works, and the colors and characters are nice. But for some reason, it leaves something to be desired and I can't put my finger on it.
Still, you did a nice job, and I mean it. ^_^

Maybe it's Nana face? I mean, she's totally off, her nose doesn't work and it's a little weird if you look at it without the scarf I think. Or maybe because Ren has a big head.
Or maybe because I didn't translate the emotion right and that she seems to totally not care while it's not the fact haha D:

You know, I think it's definitely the lack of emotion in Nana's face. As you said, she seems to not care too much about what's going on judging by her face. There just isn't enough emotion in her eyes, I think.
