Description
In February of 1907 a sinister being entered into the town of Ladrillar, Spain.

It floated around the dusty village roads on three consecutive nights, nearly silent aside from an occasional cry of "uuuuua, uuuuuua!" Sometimes it was seen hovering over the cemetery. No matter where it roamed, people fled from it and hid in their homes.

On the final night of it's appearance a group of terrified onlookers watched it from the grounds of the church and one of the powerful light spheres that followed the being passed over the group. As the light went overhead a 5 year old girl, Maria Martin, lost consciousness. She sickened over the following days and died.

Did the entity kill poor young Maria? Did she simply die of fright? Or was she already sick and the entity come to town as a portent, wailing like a banshee? Perhaps it was even a psychopomp, taking Maria's soul into the light.
