Description
The creature from "The Shunned House" is very underrated among Lovecraft's various monsters. It's a giant psychovorous slime mold mansquito that can astral project! That's so cool!I don't think I've ever seen it statted up for the Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green or any other RPG for that matter. That's a pity.

I honestly hadn't considered it that much. I figure it's not natural but perhaps it's the creation of an ancient sorcerer or Great Old One.

how does it actually astral project?, plus how did it manage to die by sulfuric acid used by the narrator?.

It's consciousness projects an ectoplasmic (possibly Colour related!) "hologram" it can remote control to affect the world and drain the life out of targets before bringing it back to its true body.
It still needs a body to project from so it melted and died.
