This is one of my favourite of the ‘diabetes portraits’ I did as a part of the series "Making the Invisible Visible". It is intended to increase awareness about type I diabetes. I made several drawings based on interviews with people diabetes, which were collected by Mirjam Eiswirth for her PhD.

Did you realise that people with type I diabetes need to make sure their blood sugar levels stay ok every time they go and see a movie?
