Thank you for the favorite!
Yes, I think these wolves in particular are very beautiful. I believe this is the omega wolf in the local zoo pack. He has the least amount of damage to his fur so it's pretty clear he hasn't been fighting for dominance. Thank you very much for the comment!

really? what's tsu-chan's favorite animal from the zoo? i'll try to get some more captures next time i go (the wolves are really hard to get because of all the layers of chain-link, it's hard to get my camera to focus right)

ooh perfect, i have a few nice tiger shots that i haven't put up yet. yea, the wolves are pacing almost all the time so i'm really happy when i see one of them laying down but i know they usually won't stay that way for long.

It's like at Clevelands Metroparks Zoos "Wildlife of the Great Lakes" - during daylight, the Gray wolves tend to be snugged up in the tree line, so you can barely see them on moniters, let alone get a good enough look at to take a photo.

you know what's really weird? there's a place you can go for the gray wolves were it's so easy to get a show without the wires of the fence, but for some reason the gray wolf pictures never come out as dynamic as my red wolf pictures do and i can't figure out why.

at first i thought it was just hard to focus because their fur is a lighter color than that of the grass in their pen, but then again, the red wolves practically blend into their exhibit and i can still get a pretty decent shot @.@ so i'm still lost

I don't have any idea then. Doesn't help that all my wolf photography has been Grays in Great Lakes area forests or a few Reds in Florida. :/
