Group shot of my first Katamari Damacy figurines. This set includes the Prince, Marcy, Jungle, Dipp, Ichigo, June, and Kuro. The are for sale at my store, ctrl-alt-doll.com.I hand-sculpted a generic Prince figure, and made a mold. Each figure you see is a resin cast from that mold.
Each figure goes through a lengthy creative process:
* Casting the resin.
* Trimming and sanding down.
* Hand-sculpting to further perfect the piece.
* Affixing to glass marble base.
* Several coats of detailed acrylic painting.
* Applying a digitally printed face.
* Spray-coating a satin finish.
* Signing and dating the bottom.

Okay, enough of the sales-pitch talk. On a personal note, I love Katamari Damacy and I decided to make myself a little Prince. Since I'm in the middle of setting up my new store, I figured I'd go ahead and make these little guys for other people too. It was a lot of trial and error to get good figures cast, but I seem to have it going pretty well now. Each one is a lot of work, but it is enjoyable work. As all your deviants know, there is a lot of satisfaction in looking at a finished piece. ^_^
I'm going to work on some of the more oddball cousins next.

Thank you! I have a couple left on my site, ctrl-alt-doll.com. I've stopped making them so most of the more popular ones sold out.
I can take commissions for polymer clay versions (which wouldn't use a mold), though the price for those could be several times higher depending on the character and size.

What kind of price would these be, and would I be able to specify the gifts that they would wear? I'd like one of June, in particular.

If it were to be the same 5cm tall, I'd price that starting at $25 for a normal polymer clay June with a matching base. Gifts would be extra, price depending on their size an complexity.
