Well, as a few other people have already said, the way you've done the texture work in her hair is absolutely fantastic. I think it's the kind that makes you imagine detail that you've not actually drawn in and to me it gives it a nice sense of depth.
I can see what you've tried to do with the focus on the skulls, blurring them out so that it draws you into her face, but at the same time the blurred skulls look a little weird to me. I've been staring around at the for a while now because I'm not sure whether this is me being odd or not. They sort of make me lose the sense of depth I get from the crisper details in the centre, possibly because I can't get a sense of foreground and background from them.
For example, in attempts to clarify what I'm on about, the skull on the left {closest to us}, I can tell it's in front of the woman because it overlaps her ear. However, it is coloured the same as the other skulls, such as the one I would assume to be behind her on the right. Maybe if it were coloured in similar but darker shades to give more of a sense of distance between the skulls...
It's odd though because on your first WIP on the blog when everything still has crisp lines I don't get the sense that what I just typed about it necessary. On that WIP you're drawn into the person purely because she is the lighter aspect of the picture running down the middle. The composition alone draws you to her rather than the focal blurring.
I have no idea whether any of that helps you thinking about what you didn't like about the picture, but I hope you enjoyed reading it! I'm growing to love the way you draw faces more and more with each picture (:

I'm glad my rambling was so useful for you! (:
I often figure if I'm going to comment on my friends art pieces and they're asking for suggestions or help of any kind I should really put the effort in and be helpful.
{That said it has been so long since I wrote it I had to go back to it because I couldn't, for the life of me, remember what I'd said} XD
You're welcome~
I look forward to more (:

If I don't know the person I only go into critique if they've asked for it in the artist's comments.
Then if they take it badly in their responce I answer that in a cautious way such that a comment argument doesn't start and I can go away and live my life peacefully XD
Thankfully no one's taken my critiques badly yet.
*waits in anticipation* (:
*also ponders what it's a fanart for in the meanwhile* XD
