Val is reserved and quiet but once you get to know her she's rather talkative and pro active, an all around educated hard worker with manners that would make even the snobbiest of rich people blush. She might be a little intimidating but she's as gentles as they come, don't pester her too much however, she isn't afraid of biting. Even if she looks delicate, she's pretty athletic and strong! She works out every morning and goes to Judo and Personal Defense classes. Jess jokingly refers to her and Neena as the Cafe's security staff.
She grew up in another state before reaching adulthood and traveling all the way to Roseville, Minnesota to attend the university there, where she met Alex and quickly become friends. They now share an apartment together. Recently she managed to find a job in the same Cafe where Alex works, much to the trap's surprise. Her relationship with Alexis could be classified as 'Best roomies, with benefits'
She tends to be incredibly reserved when it comes to her past, she says she would rather 'leave the past behind and live the present to the fullest)
She's bi-curious which means she doesn't mind getting frisky with girls, especially if Alex is on board somehow.
If you befriend Val, you'll find a good friend for life. Both Alex and the Manager can agree on that.

The idea for her came from a friend who wanted Jessica's character to be developed and Valerie is essential in the plan I have for her and the story as a whole. You'll see more of that in the future! I couldn't do it with Karol since her relationship with Jess is a tad bit antagonistic and Neena... is Neena.

Val had a lot of influences when it came to her design and I'm willing to say she's my favorite character design
