So, it's been recently passed that Derpy Hooves has had her name changed or maybe even omitted, along with a voice change because people believed it to be "crude" or "offensive". But everypony, Bronies, Pegasisters and Others alike always believed in her but I guess we just didn't try hard enough, and Derpy thinks she didn't try hard enough either and she's sorry. So let's all stand hoof in hoof and hope that maybe one day, our petition will pass and bring our dear Derpy back to us.Related content

.-. Why would you want to bring back a pony that hurt mentally challanged children? They already are made to feel like burdens in a society where nothing is made for them, but then to have a character on a show directed towards children, a mentally challenged character that messed things up and was portrayed as a BURDEN.
Like, bronies need to chill seriously. It was doing more harm than good to have her there, just because you liked her doesn't mean she wasn't hurting special needs children. Because she was.

Personally I think that Ditzy is a rude name. It's like calling a blonde (yes I know she is blonde) a clutz just because of her hair color! I think Derpy Hooves is cuter and awesomer! Derpy you have nothing to be sorry for! I rest my case.

I believe that removing this character from canon suggests that there is no place in society for the mentally challenged, that only the "perfect" are accepted... which is in fact the OPPOSITE of a healthy message.

Her voice was changed and her name were taken out from the episode.... so what? We're just at the place where we started the whole thing.
1. Hasbro confirmed that they will not take her out from the show, and will keep her eye derped at times. NO REASON FOR PANIC!
2. Derpy is such a big hit you can't simply erase her out from the community. You can still draw fanarts and make musics of her or whatever your heart's desire.
3. She has appeared in more episodes with her eyes Derped already.
