Even for a 7 year old as I was at the time, seeing the towers burn was kind of surreal. It was scary too knowing that my mum was staying in America at the time; my overactive mind didn't realise she would probably have been very far away from New York anyway.

Sorry to hear that.. it was definitely pretty surreal. I had family in another country that were worried too even though I was in Florida at the time

Yeah, I suppose I had it easy though since I wasn't personally affected. I imagine there are people who haven't "gotten over it" even today. It's great that people decided to build a new tower though; it's a strong statement to anyone who thinks causing harm will make the world a better place.
