On plenty of occasions, I’ve gritted my teeth and posted a page that feels like I’m testing the audience’s patience even more than usual. The voice in the back of my head barging towards the front and going “get ON WITH IT, already! Don’t just let ANOTHER page of buildup SIT there for a week! AAAGH!”
This is another one of those occasions. I wanted to point that out in case any readers feel the same way, because by gosh it’s frustrating at times.
But this is also heading towards a rarer occasion in which the characters and the story and myself are in sync with “GET ON WITH IT!”, and the frustration with getting things going finds some release and, consequently, changes into something else.
The point at which you can’t dance around it any longer, make a big noise, break something, pound your chest, pound the table, and see what happens.
Getting there. Inch by inch.

To suspend my cheek for just a moment, you even implying the possibility that some facet of Gogo's esoteric nature/identity both possesses some form of rhyme or reason and is acknowledged as real and important enough for Gogo to make inferences based on it is something you have never come close to doing. This is either a fantastic step forward or a decade long troll.
I mean, I'm not making this up am I? To this very day, people still drop in to your gallery asking obvious questions for which NO ANSWERS YET EXIST. Also I believe you said, and I quote: "Sooner or later I'm going to have to lay some definitive cards on the table."
That was more than five. Years. Ago.

Oh, and to clarify my comment: I was reading way deep into things, like I do, and I picked up on what appeared to be a hint that not only will there be a forthcoming revelation that finally defines Gogo at least a little bit better, but it will also somehow cause ALL of Bomango's seemingly fractured and inconsistent canon to make more sense all at once.
THAT would be a trick that I am dubious anyone could pull off, much like jumping The Grand Canyon on a jet-ski. Was I seeing things that weren't there? Time will tell, hopefully.

There was definitely a time when heading down the road of where this story is currently headed would have seemed (to me) to be a much bigger step forward than it now feels like (again, to me).
I think that’s because “What IS Gogo?” no longer feels (to me) like a hidden endgame, or the “big reveal” to the story. (Indeed, this story literally began with showing the audience a giant monster). Instead, it feels like that’s the doorway to step through to get to the other side and really see where this can go.
I really don’t know if I’ll stick this landing. I guess it’s a matter of “across this canyon is everything I want and the only way to get there is this motorcycle!” If I do end up crashing and burning, well...at least I’ll have given the jump a shot

I just want to encourage you for even trying. You definitely have shown plenty of the potential to do it--and your lack of reservation in moving on, while surprising, is commendable.
Also, we've known Gogo could, somehow someway, turn into Gogojira before this story. That beginning with the monster of the current story is light on details which was consistent with before. The scar tissue and some other minor elements following it were new and made the link somewhat more compelling, but there wasn't much ground being broken (Figuratively speaking, at least.) Now, having all that finally amount to something we get to really see being exposed and plot-driven and I would say that's eye-catchingly ambitious, compared to before.
But ambition is what you need to even maybe get somewhere good in basically all things, so even if it seems audacious it can't be all bad.
In other words: you fail to clear 100% of the canyons you don't attempt to jump over.
And if this finally gives an insight and context into what you were thinking all these years as well? So much the better and enjoy your jet-ski.

I think I've mentioned this before, when you detail certain parts of the face a bunch but neglect others.

Okay Andy, think about what just happen...you chased an amazonian goddess on your bike, and just saw she is easily able to move around like a ninja, and is strong enough to only knock down a water tower like it was a jenga. This is now the moment where you realized how screwed you are.

I have to say Van, that your sense of scale has improved to a demonstrable degree, over time. Your sense of proportion of objects in relation to characters adds a much needed dynamic of realism to the scene. The first panel immediately expresses this. I think you are becoming ever more confident in your competency as an artist and it shows.
That last panel is by far, one of the finest renderings of Gogo that you have ever done, period. It just looks perfect. The facial proportions, the chiaroscuro( the contrast between solid shading and light color shading ), the bold line work, all expertly balanced. She looks minacious and absolutely terrifying.
To paraphrase the immortal Harold Ramis, I would be terrified beyond any and all capacity for rational thought.
I would wager that Andy if filled with nothing but regret for his foolhardy decision, oh, not to mention 'mortal terror'. The mortal terror being tops on the list, of course.

Hopefully, what Andy’s realizing (in addition to the terror at being cornered by a possible superhuman psychopath) is that he’s not alone in being curious and confused.
In fact, I think it’s finally dawning on him that his search for answers pale in comparison to that of someone who’s not merely “curious” but may actually be facing an existential dilemma, and, depending on the extent of said distress, has demonstrated a considerable amount of firepower that might be brought to bear to get answers.
That kind of realization DOES make one feel suddenly small

Gogo here is entirely reasonable - she's obviously unhuman with her huge sharp toenails and superpowers, yet nobody gives a damn.
