Lovely Fluttershy. Since you asked for critique, I think the bits that stick out the most to me are her hairline, and then her jawline. The jawline makes me realize her neck seems a little short, and the linkage of the head/neck/and shoulders then seem left to ambiguity. The rear of the jaw in particular + the neck shading just give a slight "mascot head" effect.
The rotation of her left thigh (along the spine axis) is tricky--I want to say it seems possible, but it's really a bit difficult to process. I think the leg would require more of a rotation of the pelvis, as though she had been on her side, her torso had rolling toward the viewer, or else it seems like the hip joint would be strained, and thus would not fit a relaxed demeanor. Raising the knee toward her body would also be an avenue of thought worth exploring here. In all honesty, though, I don't think most would even have noticed this. I might not have without the other visible critique.
The background is really gorgeous. I keep thinking how nice it would be if this piece was the art for a rare Fluttershy card in a CCG or something like that.

Thanks so much for the detailed and insightful critique! I appreciate you taking the time to write all of this to help me out ^^
Ahh you're right, I do need to work on these head angles- I'm actually not quite sure how to actually place the jaw for an angle such as this, but I'll look into making that stuff look more natural.
And you're right- it looks really uncomfortable if it's even possible to bend it this way haha. I do like to try pushing that kind of stuff just to make things a little more interesting, but I'll definitely still attempt to make them work realistically if I can.Β
Well glad you think so! ^^ And, again, thanks a ton for the feedback~

Ah, I feel like an idiot now--it's just dawned on me that I wasn't critiquing the full-sized image. The shoulder is just really subtle.
Edit:
"..her torso had rolling toward the viewer" should be "her torso having rolled toward the viewer"

This is a fantastic picture. There's lots of good things to talk about here. Obviously there's stuff for you to improve on though, especially on anatomy, so I'll try my best to critique that.
I'm impressed by the colors of the background. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it has a kinda dreamy feel (maybe because I usually don't see forests with those colors). The trees are solid. In front of the trees though, is that a stream? If so, I can't really tell if Fluttershy there is in it or right next to it since the water level appears pretty high. Maybe make the terrain a little less flat and put the stream in a small depression.
Onto Fluttershy. While nothing here ruins the picture or anything, most of what you can improve on is here. As you kinda hinted at, you can improve with anatomy. I'm not exactly sure what's going on with her torso. It looks like she's got a reasonably-sized chest, a pretty narrow waist, and then a large belly. I'd try to make the torso a little less curvy like that. The near hind leg looks fine for the most part, though maybe a bit long compared to her front legs, and her cutie mark might be upside down. Though it's obscured by the other leg, I can't grasp how the far hind leg is attached to her body since it's at an odd angle, plus the upper part of that leg looks kinda long. Front leg anatomy looks alright, though the shape of the far leg isn't as well-defined as it probably should be. Also, there's a vertical line of shade on one of her front legs that looks like a layering error or something. Lastly, the "peak" of her mane comes down kinda close to her far eye. That being said, the face, mane, tail, and shading are generally solid, and in general I'm a fan of your art style here.
Take what I have to say with a grain of salt: I'm not an expert at any of this, and this whole critique may come off as an incoherent ramble at times with all the nitpicks I'm making. Props to you for going back to your fundamentals though. With any artist, advanced techniques often go to waste if the anatomy or something else basic is off. Please take your time with what you make, especially with school and all that, but I'm looking forward to seeing what ideas you have next.

Thanks so much for the detailed critique, Litrojia! Appreciate you taking the time to help me out here ^^
The dream-like feel was sorta intentional- I like to have to those overlayed vibrant colors for backgrounds sometimes. And yep, that's supposed to be a stream- I should've definitely distinguished that better.
Ahh okay, I gotcha- for some reason what I've been doing is pinching the "bean" shape that's pretty standard for ponies too far, and I always seem to be confused about which direction I should actually be placing the bean.
You're definitely right about the legs too- the lengths are pretty inconsistent.
And I didn't notice the other parts you mentioned either, so thank you for pointing them out!Β
Nahh, yourΒ critique is great! Once again, thanks for the help <3
My anatomy and fundamentals are definitely in need of some work, so I'll try my best to get them right!
