Another one! Honestly, Idris is so much fun to draw like this! This time i went for a background with warm colors.
I do find blue very pleasing to the eye, but i wanted to set a different tone.

Thanks a bunch!! I wasn't sure at first about using warm tones for the background, because I like highlighting his blue tones, but it all worked out well in the end!

Oh wow, that looks so intense!! The dramatic expression, the movement, and those glowing embers rushing by really bring a sense that he's in the midst of a fiery fight. Very awesome imagery! The warm tones definitely add a new depth from the previous cool night scenes, and you did a magnificent job with the coloring and hues! I really love these "action close-ups"!!

Thank you!! I wanted to give it a sense of movement and intensity, so it's true that a fiery background fit better! Ahh i'm starting to understand Sai and coloring in general better so i'm satisfied with the results! I started doing these closeups based on how in cartoons there are a lot of frames that zoom in on the character and i though that looked really cool! They're a lot of fun too, you should give it a try~

You're very welcome! And you should be really proud of this piece, it's just brilliant! I do remember reading a long time ago that blue and orange are complimentary colors, like they let each other pop, so it definitely shows how much you're growing and challenging yourself with coloring. Keep it up!
Oh yeah, those dramatic, zoomed-in "emotion" shots are awesome within an action sequence, because it gives more personality to the moment, connects the audience back to the character. And c'mon, Idris is just badass with his skeleton guise and a handsome fella to zoom in on! Aah, I might try to do something like this, thanks; I do prefer working on head shots my full body anatomy, ugh.

hECKkkkkkkk I love all these pictures you're doing with Idris using his powers!!!! Ahhhhh there's a specific feel to this one because the warm background produces such intensity! I really like the blue backgrounds you've used before because it is aesthetically pleasing and gives a cooling atmosphere, but the orange tint here almost reminds me of fire~ I like it!
