Description
I take the subway home from work everyday..And I always look around at all the people on the train and can't help but wonder what their story is.. "where are they going, are they going home? who will be there waiting for them.."
I noticed everyone always seems to be looking at their feet, or at the roof, or out the window.. and no one looks at each other,,
On my way home from work I noticed this woman and when I looked at her she looked back and we locked eyes for a moment.. It suddenly hit me how rare that is..
To look a stranger in the eye..
I was compelled to draw her after that~
I didn't want to forget that look..

Wow, that's absolutely beautiful. That look is definitely one to be remembered. She almost seems shy, the way she's holding herself, but the way she's looking right at you makes you think maybe she's not so shy after all. Beautiful work, you're an incredible artist.

When I lived in NYC, I avoided looking people in the eye as well. I don't know why. i guess I'm just shy that way. In Ghana, where I live now, people ALWAYS stare! lol I just make a hobby out of it and try and see how long I can lock eyes with a random person on a street! lolz
