My Karai design for my Ninja Turtle story. Karai is the daughter of Oroku Yori, the Jonin of the Foot Clan. As one of the two Chunin, Karai is trusted with conducting business with the Foot’s allies such as General Kraag, and Commander Cobra. After repeatedly failing to stop the Turtles from interfering with them, Karai makes a proposition. She witnessed the Ooze transforming an alley cat transforming in the mutant Hob and saw the raw power of Leatherhead and suggested they make mutants of their own, loyal to the Foot. Yori is hesitant at first, but ultimately agrees. The Foot creates two new mutants, Slash and Bludgeon and unleashes them on the Turtles. But they lose control of Slash who injures Yori in his fight against Leonardo, resulting in her father's death. Karai begins to spiral after losing her father and does things she wouldn’t have normally. She makes new mutants out of her school friends Bebop and Rocksteady and finds an ancient Foot Clan ritual that is said to revive the dead. Though Leo is the object of her revenge, Karai blames herself and lashes out. Leo ends up being the one to help her.

I love Leo and Karai’s relationship in 2012, and hope I could capture that, but probably not. For Karai I wanted to combine 2012 with IDW.
