Hey, can someone tell me if a bamboo tablet will do the job?
I mean, I don't want to buy a Cintiq or something for pros I just want something basic but nice.

Well, it's a Bamboo Fun but it's the older version. I don't know about the new one they have but I haven't heard anything bad about it, at least.
It's the smallest size, 3x5 drawing surface, I think. I just got what was cheap, eheheh.

i've only had a bamboo pen and a bamboo capture(?????? they have three different ones that all start with a c and i've never remembered which one i've got), and from my experience, they're both Pretty Darn Good.
but i've also heard a bunch of good things about, uhh, i think it was monoprice?? which i've never owned one, but i saw some reviews on tumblr about them being pretty nice and also hella good price for the tablet and the potential replacement parts like pens or pen nibs that you may or may not end up needing new ones over time.

no but my friend started out with one^^ I started out with a small hanvon tablet. I think that might be even simpler than a bamboo lol. I use a wacom intuos 4 tablet which is okay too but it still kinda confuses me

Pixel art is kinda hard to do with a tablet (I have a wacom bamboo pen and touch). You misplace pixels a lot and it's just a bit difficult (though it's much more simple to sketch it out), but if you want to do more non-pixel digital art I do recommend getting a tablet. A really simple one (I believe you can find it on amazon, I'm not sure if wacom is still producing them) is bamboo fun. It's small and simple.
But that's my opinion.

Yeah I want the tablet for non-pixel stuff, I wanted to give the pixels a try but I know it may be more difficult with it.
I think the Wacom page leads you to where bamboo's are being sold.
