Description Sometimes the moon appears orange. No filters . This seems to be because of the scattering of light by the atmosphere.

Yeah, atmosphere, and the way the Sun's light clips our atmosphere.
Sometimes smoke in the atmosphere like volcanic eruptions makes
it look red. (ish)

It's a hard shot no matter the weather.

It was Bonfire Night when I took this, firework smoke maybe?
