I wanted to make a comic exploring Zexy’s character. When I was thinking this up, Zexy was the only Pokemon in A’s party, and he didn’t have any lore personality yet. What kind of Pokemon would he be, to stick with A, despite her unpredictable insanity? I considered his nature: Lonely.
When Zexy holding a rose became a thing, I tried working that in. The wurmple in this comic is not the one we end up catching.
