x. This Is One Edward That Does Not Sparkle! .x

Okay, so it's time for a story children!

Back when I was in sixth form and taking Graphics, we had to take a product with a rather boring design and redesign it and direct it at a certain age group. I chose to redesign the hundreds and thousands tub aka this: [link] and my target group would of course be children, because all children love to decorate their cakes with sprinkles! So then began the task of jotting down a load of rubbish and I was pondering over 'what are there lots of?' Animals came to mind, followed by herds and for some reason, a Giraffe popped into my head. And thus began Edwards creation. I chose a style much like the Sanrio style (those who own Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, etc...) because I knew it was popular with kids and the colours were bright and it'd generally attract their little eyeballs to it.

So I drew out Edward and I changed his coat to sprinkles. However, he needed a name. We had a Canadian graphics teacher at the time and she is absolutely obsessed with Twilight and me and Nikki were joking that she wouldn't find this Giraffe that I had drawn up cute unless he had a name like Edward or something. Edward. It stuck. Having been in a rut though he didn't get drawn for the longest time after the one fully CG'ed picture I did produce of him (all his other pics I had done were just sketches), until today. I've been pondering over giving him an update and well here it is. He now has hundreds and thousands coloured spots and sprinkle like markings too, and his colours got an update. o3o

I love him to bits and you can definately expect to see more of him. I'm looking to get this printed onto a T-shirt because yes I love him that much. xD Also expect to see his friend, Mary-Sue the white and pink striped Zebra pop up soon too. They are the best of friends. <3
