This is my another picture of Idril. (J.R.R. Tolkien "Silmarillion")
This girl combines love and light in her heart.
Drawn with pastels and pastel pencils. A4 paper.

OK, with Idril you sort of have to draw a pretty-pretty-elf, because she IS one! It says so in the story! This is a better portrait than your first one, it shows much better technique. Who could doubt that Tuor could fall in love with such a luminous being, and devote his entire life to protecting her and her people?

At least as I see it, what makes this drawing special and gives it almost a sense of realism, is the wind that flows about which we can see from the wave of her hair in the air, and the light of the sun upon Idril's forehead and around her, making the whole picture even more fair to look upon.
And as someone else has said before me, this painting has an atmosphere to it indeed, and that has been captured very well.
It is a beautiful picture, well done.

Действительно, очень светлый, прекрасный рисунок. У нее как-будто солнечные лучи запутались в волосах. Неслучайно тут уже вспомнили Эарендила. Только у такой женщины мог родиться тсын, который сам был и надеждой и светом, и примером храбрости, благородства и самопожертвования. Мне нравится ее ясный взгляд, устремленный вперед. Каждая черточка ее лица очень красива, исключительно женственна. Я уже давно начала сомневаться, что самой красивой эльфийкой древности была Лучиэнь.

Очень красивый и милый портрет. Понравилось, как прорисованы волосы, взгляд (глаза красивые у нее).
Мне кажется, что я все больше влюбляюсь в нее. Эх.. хотелось бы конечно ее в живую увидеть - жаль, что у нас не Средиземье и нет такой возможности.
Но Ваши работы восполняют этот недочет природы (недочет, что нету Средиземья на географической карте мира).
Потрясающая работа, шикарный портрет пастелью.
