Description An update to MV-27...
Altered the engine air intakes, increased the wing area, and added LEX ahead of the intakes. Wing sweep is also slightly higher than the last pic. Most likely will use one of my own engine designs instead of the F135 as originally planned. F135 lacks supercruise ability, unlike its cousin the F119. That and my pulsed-detonation turbofans are much more efficient...
If I can stay motivated I might start adding more detail soon...

Well, it is a lot smaller than a C-130, and uses lots of high tech composite materials in its construction. Loaded with fuel, weapons, cargo, etc it's weight can go to over 150,000 lbs (68,038 kg).

Oooooo. So it does air drops for those crazy five foot tall ceramic armored tanks?!?

lol, I originally intended for it to drop of special forces guys and one or two Battle Ram armed scout trucks. I also would use it to carry a squad of special forces wearing a powered armor suit a friend and I have been plotting. It also can be used for high risk CSAR missions that conventional helicopters or tilt-rotors cannot perform.

Nice work

anyway mind if i ask why did the F-135 "lacks supercruise ability" ?

Thanks
The F135 lacks supercruise because the politicians deemed it unnecessary for the F-35. They didn't require the F-35 to have supercruise, so thus the F135 engine that powers it isn't optimized for that regime of flight. [link] <- found that info in that link. Really, I think the F-35 sucks for the most part. The only thing I like about it is that big F135 engine and its fancy avionics/sensors. Other than that... ain't nothing special. In fact, the US Navy doesn't even like the plane they are being forced to buy lol...

you're welcome

hmm now it's really makes me wonder ..what is needed for an engine to supercruise ..other than high Dry thrust

I'm not quite sure myself. Only other things I can think of besides high dry thrust are a low bypass ratio and an air inlet optimized for supersonic flight.
