Personality 101
Plain Jane. There are few statements more false than that. As a small child, kids would sing of the tune in mocking. Rather easily absorbed into her studies, even at a young age, she almost appeared to be the definition of that. The perfect little student. Then one day, she opened her mouth and words came out. After that moment, few would sincerely mean that statement, and if said, it would be out of irony.

On a basic breakdown, Jane has great confidence in how intuitively she can tackle an obstacle, often times coming up with results that are less than conventional. While can seem fairly random at times, her problem solving is often spoken out loud or can even come off as a question in the form of “have you tried this?” but the thing to try is often absurd or least not practical as a first option.

She takes great pride in her self image, and how she feels about herself tends to outshine what others would expect of her. It was a pride that she had developed rather quickly when she moved to life around non-magical folks, mostly due to adults treating her hair as a thing that was unacceptable in the schooling environment. Rather than dye it, she embraced it and you can bet that she did some time in detention for it.

When it comes to trust, Jane will often trust others before not, but it’s a fragile trust and can easily be broken and hard to earn back. It can only be earned through actions and not words as much. She is hesitant of smooth talkers once they cross the trust line.

Often talking a big game, she can sometimes over promise results, in both what she is capable of herself, and what she is able to craft. This can lead to less than favorable situations. Jane will take credit if she is the one that is the source of the mistake, and will also intentionally create backlashes from magic that she will need to apologize for. Should she not like the motives of the others involved, will purposefully sabotage with the intent of apologizing later. She takes great pleasure in seeing that ill intentions are meet with a proper backlash, rather than a punishment from an outside source.

1st Year | Focus: Curses

Jane's magical education is fairly rusty to put it best. She went to Forest Haven Elementary for the Magical Arts from grades 1-7. Before starting her 8th year there, her mother's job caused Jane's family to relocate quite outside of the schools commute range. Given the option to continue there from the dorms, she turned it down and opted for a normal non-magical school from 8-12 in the the new town.

At Forest Haven, she was taught many of the basics and safe practices that on would need. Very much to the level of how science it taught to children that age. By 4th grade, she showed skills in enchanting and identifying charms, so before long, she was give a fast track into classes that focused on developing those skills. 6th grade was when she discovered curses and her love for them, much to her teacher's dismay. Jane, preferring curse's nature of being harder to dispel than charms, began to focus her education down the path of identifying what made a good curse strong, and how to create a counter curses to her advantage.

After leaving Forest Haven in her 8th year, she continued her education in normal non-magical schooling, but continued to study curses and charms with the help of books and shear practical uses. High school is a breeding ground for those looking for help and revenge. Almost needless to say, she was rather popular and made some easy cash with the tagline of "80% percent guarantee justice would be done".

Proficient at channeling curses into organic material, her go to mediums are leaves and other forms of vegetation. The more alive it is, the more likely a curse will be successfully cast.

Her main skills are finding loop-holes of sorts with curses to make them more beneficial, or at least make the backlash a little less harsh. Like cursing an object to have a negative effect to counteract and already negative effect. To negatives make a positive kind of basis. Mostly small things like a curse that would cause insomnia would be countered by a curse that would make one sleep after a full meal.

People could bring her cursed items, and rather than her breaking the curse (why ruin a perfectly good curse after all) She would instead place another curse that negates the curse while leaving it still there. For example, if a pen is cursed to never produce a visible ink line no matter what type of ink you fill it with, the curse she would curse the pen to be only produce a line as though it was made by a pencil. Thus, it wouldn't leave any trace of ink, but would be a refillable pencil with a perfect point at that point.

Blood is the best conductor to improve success rates, but also has the most severe backlashes.

After contacting some old friends of his from his college days, one suggested that Pitchthorne might be a good option for her. Thus, she was sent away to a magical college, where the wifi is terrible.
