Description So I spent two weeks in the hospital completely immobile and it sucked. I just wanted to draw so that's where this came from. I never really liked the armor that people depicted neither did I like my own ideas. Still unsure about this style but I feel it gives Pip a little more flare. Plus I want it to be as close to actual horse barding with the whole ponies put it on themselves. I also wanted it to look difficult to put on giving her a reason to never take it off just like most D&D characters. Just never take it off you can sleep in it, eat in it, party in it, go to the bathroom in it. I always found that funny. Didn't draw little Macintosh as I still have no idea how I want it to look such as a gun designed for pony use of just a regular scoped revolver but I gave her a holder for it... meh...anyway.

Kredit to Kkat as always for Pip

Enjoy.

... And then, when everything good seemed destroyed and every last hope had seemingly faded, there came an ordinary, unspectacular pony who just refused to allow the world to shape her into a monster and give up on all the good qualities most now scorned. She was more than just another paladin amongst the many who walked the Wastelands. She became a symbol of hope and a nucleus around which the remaining forces of light coalesced to restore peace and hope to the world.

Some called her the Lightbringer.

Others called her the Stable Dweller.

To some, she was even the Hero of the Wastelands.

Those who knew her best, just called her Littlepip.

I really like the details to the armor on this. I such at trying to add little straps or plating on armor

Just in case you didn't know, the reason they depicted that shitty armor that you didn't like was because that's what the armor in the game looks like.Β

Yeah I have been a Fallout fan long before I was a pony fan. I always found it funny that the only real difference between your starting jump suit and the armored variant was a large shoulder pad with leather strap. That said I just took a slight spin on that and streamlined it. Besides I just figured Derpy was a much more talented tailor than the normal wastelander you would come accross.

Guess I'm not the only one who was a Fallout fan before Fo:E. I really like your design by the way.Β

Hmm,isn't her Cutie Mark supposed to be visible ? Still. I dig the armored barding. There were some versions I've seen that looked like a Vault Suit mixed with Dead Space elements

I thought about that. I have only read the story once and I don't go back for references very often I kinda play it by memory. The only thing I could recall was when she had been hit in her flank where her cutie mark was and that she was starting to freak out because she knew the armor had been unable to block it. I remember the build up until she lost it and started to remove her armor and started crying because it had been damaged. My memory is far from the best and it has been a while since I read it so..... I do like the ones with the dead space element but dead space armor was really cool all on its own.

Like you,I've only read it once so I go with recollections here and there. I figured that the vault suit left the cutie mark visible whereas the armored plating Ditzy added covered it but since the only 'official' art was of Steelhooves(or a random Steel Ranger) We can only go from our imagination.

Dead Space armor is cool but a part of me keeps saying that Ditzy couldn't possibly made armor like that with the stuff from the wasteland. The rest of me...well.Let's just say if they ever make a Fallout Equestria game. I hope that there's an armor like that XD

Wow, this is beautiful! I love the art style, and this is definitely one of the most interesting armor concepts I've seen to date! She just looks so adorable and Pip-like. Also, I like the way you did the Pip-Buck.
