This is from a joint with . Over the holiday weekend we created a project for us to entertain ourselves with. I really like it so far. Its fantasy with a modern twist, and we kind of morphed and moved things around to where they fit quite nicely with us.But this is one of the main characters that I made, Shui. Its pronounced Shway, but people pronounce it Shoo-ey because you have to admit people are bad at pronouncing names, and people find it more fitting for his random personality anyways. Shui means "water" in chinese.
He's a fisher, gatherer type person, adept to living at the edge of the land and the edge of the ocean. He loves seafood (especially squid) and he travels around a lot with Rivec ( 's) because a boring normal life isn't very much of a life to him. He apparently wears the tackiest colours in the world.
The background is ... kind of special at best. I like what i tried to go for, but its really hard to do it right in photoshop becauase you see the wiggly lines. XO Oh and the name, while it is in spanish, is an ode to the wonderful FFVII. Because that game, as everybody knows, is the total hotness. Cid Highwind was the best.

i agree. i luved cid highwind so very much in FF7. ( i miss that game, but kinda both anticipate/fear a sequel.. ) i love all the small details on the character, very well done as usual

i anticipate/fear a sequel as well. I think you cannot help it. It was such a good game, you don't want it to be wrecked, but to have the characters and a similar storyline with today's technology is just enough to make anybody giddy. Here's hopin'!

MUAHHH!!! He looks so awesome! This project should be interesting ^^ ((like any of your projects are boring... (. .); a collab project at that...DAMN!)) Oh and squid is soooo yummy....^^ I love your color scheme on this and his pose. He's just so swingin' hip. The background is really cool, a nice contrast to your kick ass Shui. *laughs* oh and in japanese water is Sui so if you try to pronounce it japanese I can see how you get shoo-ey *dies laughing* I was read it and was like...SHOOEY? Read more and said " oooooh I'm so crappy I just pronouced it the way I'm not supposed to." The sad thing is I said it out loud.. ^^; Shway is so much better...I feel so bad I violated his name. *dies*

very cool one of your best character designs. while your style fits Kill the City to the ground it seems it could also be phenomenal on a fantasy project many would kill for your talent. I can think of at least 10 comics that would eb better served with you as artist.

oh! Very excellent design and colors. The pose is cool, the outfit is very nice, the background is an excellent touch. I guess the only thing that bothers me is there seems to be a touch too much jpeg compression. Which, has nothing to do with the artwork, I'm just saying

hahah thanks. I am a compression freak. I feel guilty if it gets too much over 100k but since i don't understand how to make preview pictures when you submit a deviation, I went from saving as .gifs to .jpegs. XO I'll try to watch out for it though. :3
