Wade looks like a cool dude, 50s dancy John Travolta sorta guy, that all the girls fall for, and Voy's got the makings of an evil genius mad scientist, although he's probably not quite there yet. Not entirely evil yet.

GAD, I want some Prismas. Gimme the Prismas NOW! ::shoots bullets through the roof::
Would it be weird of me to admit that I think the line on Wade's neck indicating his throat muscles is one of the sexiest things I have ever seen?

And I will enjoy thusly.
I love Wade's smile ... and Voy's general expression of "Why won't this damned bottle open?!". Priceless.
The limited colour palette didn't hinder this image. Really. Having multitudes of colours doesn't always help a picture. This one is so beautiful the way it is ... with the muted coloured and then the bright yellow and orangey.
Lovely, Tess.

"I have a limited colour palette though, cos I couldn't afford more."
Story of my life, that X P Glad you like the Prismas, tho. I like their total coverage.... y'know, the coverage that you get if you color fast enough and press hard enough. Or if you're coloring smaller spaces. Try using just the differnt grey tones.... they're delicious....

Well of course they are expensive how else are they supposta keep alive the tradition of the starving artist. First off I love that song so much, I'm a big pain fan. Secondly I really really want like a wall scroll of Wade here. It just speaks ta me some how. Imagine my surprise after my computer frying out on me (YES FRYING my motherboard decided to short circuit on me) I get on after a month or 3 absence and BOOM another fantastic vert drawing. Okay. So I devwatch you but never comment . . . yet I shall share my prisma knowledge with you. As much as I have. To get cheap prisma markers, check out office depot. They have 12, 24, and 48 colour sets for half of what a normal art store does. You will still have to buy greys in addition to that though. I have no clue how many different colours I have, but the kind of 'essential' ones: light peach and peach (skintones for more fleshy skin), brick beige for more pale skin, and light walnut for more tan skin. Blues: light cerulean and cerulean blue for slightly greyer skies (as opposed to the brilliant coloured combo of deco blue, light blue, and true blue). Indigo blue shades with any colour of blue. Cloud blue and blue slate are a set, kind of a violet-grey blue, but not essential. Greens: chartreuse, apple or spring green (not much colour difference) and grass green. For really dark greens, there is the traditional 'dark green' or for bluer green, there is 'spruce.' Yellows: canary yellow is one of my least favourite yellows. Cream, deco yellow, and yellow ochre are a good set. Spanish orange, yellowed orange, poppy red, and crimson red make a good red and orange set. Burnt ochre is good for shading oranges, and tuscan red is great for reds. Burnt sienna is also very good. Pinks and violets: blush pink is the best, rhomandine-mullbery-violet is a set, emperial violet is a nice dark blue-purple. Get cool greys, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. 70 and 90% are also good. You can shade anything and everything with greys. But, there's a better, cheaper alternative to some of these colours . . . .
SHARPIES! Sanford makes both prismas and sharpies, so many sharpies are the same colour as their prisma cousins. The light green sharpie is between apple green and grass green, the light blue sharpie is the prisma 'true blue,' dark blue is ultramarine, the brown is a burnt umber colour, the purple is a dark violet, the pink is rhomandine, the yellow is of course canary yellow, the red works well as either scarlet lake or crimson red (and I use these extensively, so a red sharpie is my best friend), and, of course, the black sharpie is the best alternative for buying tons and tons of black prisma markers.
Prismacolor markers layer like nothing else. You can use just one layer of a colour with a layer of a darker colour on it for cell-style shading, or you can use the same colour to layer repeatedly for a smoother and less blocky look.
[link] <-- an example of prisma usage which I kept trying to get to you, but your mailbox was full and the thread like died on your message board. This is honestly not self-promo, but I use mainly prismas, so there's a ton of junk on my page all prisma. *Goes back to worshipping the vert*
Okay, I'll shut up now.

Nice job!! I have some tria markers that I got frommy grandma for Christmas, but all the colors are so far apart from each other I can't shade with em. So I problably have to go out and buy some, but them evilart company owners jack up the prices so high

I have nevert tried Prismacolours, but I could probably say that Trias and Copics are more of high quality, atleast based on by the stories of my friends who've used them and prismacolors.
I love markers myself, in them I really found a way to colour sketches and weave to my visions alive, without using all my time on just few picturres, hence painting with watercolours, which I've used so much earlier, is really time consuming, as are acrylics too... and since I don't have a tablet yet... ;shrug;
Nah, I just feel so much more free now, I can actually execute my ideas, I don't have to wait with like hundreads of sketches in my book, dusting away...
...and other random ramblings...
