I think that the text on the picture takes away from the personal analysis. But, on closer inspection, this piece warrants thought. It's dark. It's morbid. It's hopeless...
but look closer. Behind the main focus, perhaps? Perhaps there is something... and there is. Flowers, are they? But so pale -- you can barely see them. They're right next to him! Why can't he see them? Perhaps he's too busy screaming to realize where he is.
Perhaps those brightly colored "flowers" behind him are cowering away... I myself would cower away at a screaming lunatic... But perhaps he isn't a lunatic? Maybe something was taken from him -- what is it? I don't know... perhaps those colors were taken for him (which is why he is so monotone), and what is life worth living without the color -- and not the color blue, the color of individuality. The color of diversity.
Perhaps that is what he lost -- his individuality and his mind screams out for the joy that it once held.

I need to inject more naturalistic/organic expression. It's great how you can get that effect in a vector piece. Nice job all round too.

*Whistles* The Verticae is on a roll of annoyingly good wallpapers. Which don't fit my resolution. because, apparently, 1280x1024 isn't a proper resolution. Which it isn't, but, like... Oh, shuddup.
...yeah. *Makes mental note to get a "correct" resolution screen of good size (2048x1592 oe whatever it is would be nice

Very neat design. I don't know that the gore tatters look rough and natural enough--the smoothed-off curves don't seem to fit with the detailed textures in the background.
